need help with hybrid clubs in a set?

i am getting a set of big bertha 2008 irons that have a 3-ibrid thru 5-ibrid and 6-PW. are the 3 i-brid clubs the equivalent of having a 3,4, and 5 hybrid club or do i still need to get hybrids if i want them?

they are not true hybrids, but they are close. they are larger irons, with a huge sole, that is supposed to mimic the hybrid feel. Personally, I thought they were harder to hit, so I got the 2006 set instead. I think its personal. You are probably a better player than I am (I just started really playing this year and litterally still stink), so you may hit the ibrids better. I couldn't get the ball off the turf with them.
